Expectations:

This position is trust-funded for 18 months. Employment in this position after the initial18 months is contingent upon the continued availability of funding.

The Pharmacy Technician - Retail supports pharmacists in the preparation, dispensing, and management of dispensing outpatient prescriptions. This role en

sures patients receive safe, timely and accurate prescriptions while providing excellent customer service. The technician assists with prescription entry, insurance processing, inventory management, patient interactions and maintains smooth daily operations in a retail pharmacy environment. In addition, the technician will play a vital role in verifying patient information, resolving insurance and billing issues, maintaining appropriate stock of medications and responsible in ordering stock required for the pharmacy.

EDUCATION:
High school diploma or GED equivalent required.

EXPERIENCE/TRAINING:
Minimum of two (2) years of experience in pharmacy, preferably in retail pharmacy.

LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS:
Required:
Current Registered Pharmacy Technician License issued by California State Board of Pharmacy

Preferred:
Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) issued by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB)

Pay Range: The estimated base rate for this position is $26.58 - $40.53.

Additional individual compensation may be available for this role through differentials, extra shift incentives, bonuses, etc. Base pay is only a portion of the total rewards package, and a comprehensive benefits program is available for qualifying positions.
