PRN, position may cover 6-8 shifts per month, 8-hour shifts, shifts are variable hours (7-3:30, 9-5:30pm and 1pm to 930 pm), shifts to include every 3rd weekend.

Pay Range

$21.45 - $32.20

How You'll Impact Patient Care:

Your responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

  • Helps pharmacists prepare and process medication orders to make sure patients and departments get the right medications on time and are charged correctly.
  • Works well with others and organizes daily tasks for maximum efficiency.
  • Helps keep medicine stock in good condition so that quality drugs and supplies are always available.
  • Offers pharmacy services in patient care areas.
  • Takes part in team efforts to improve quality and support the Pharmacy Department's commitment to Total Quality principles.
  • Keeps knowledge and skills up to date and helps educate others.
  • Set personal goals to support quality improvement and departmental objectives.
  • Follows hospital standards to create a positive work environment through good communication, relationships, and teamwork.
  • Provides care tailored to different age groups as per Age Specific Care Guidelines.

What You Will Need

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required.

Nice To Have (Not Required)

  • Diploma or associate's degree in pharmacy technology preferred.
  • Sterile compounding experience is strongly preferred.
  • One-year previous pharmacy experience preferred.
  • PTCB technician certification (CPhT) preferred.
  • North Carolina Board of Pharmacy registration required within 30 days of employment.
  • PTCB/NHA technician certification (CPhT) within 180 days of employment or actively enrolled in an ACPE accredited Pharmacy School.
