Pharmacy Manager
The Pharmacy Manager (Manager, Pharmacists & Pharmacist in Charge) is responsible for overseeing the daily operations and performance of the pharmacy team, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and achieving optimal productivity, accuracy, and quality. We are looking for an innovative leader to develop and lead our new pharmacy location in McDonough, GA opening in September 2026. This role combines strategic and tactical leadership, implementing directives from Directors and VPs and developing policies and procedures to drive effective, consistent team performance.
The Pharmacy Manager actively supports continuous improvement, cross-departmental collaboration, and optimal resource management, all while fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and teamwork. They will be responsible for launching and co-managing the pharmacy location, including hiring and training a team of pharmacists, technicians, and other staff to grow the operation.
This position is an on-site role based at our new Pharmacy Warehouse in McDonough, GA. This is a full time position typically scheduled within our operating hours of Monday-Friday between 7:00am - 5:00pm and Saturdays 7:00am - 3:30pm ET. This role has an anticipated start date of June 28, 2026.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Serve as Pharmacist in Charge, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and company policy.
Partner with the Pharmacy Operations Manager to co-manage daily pharmacy functions, ensuring seamless coordination between clinical oversight and operational execution.
Collaborate with Pharmacy Operations Managers to build and expand the pharmacy capabilities including facility inspection preparation and start-up tasks.
Develop, implement, and maintain policies and procedures to promote continuous improvement and compliance.
Dedicate approximately 40-50% of time to prescription verification on the line.
Regularly lead, audit, and refine team workflows and processes.
Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for team output, quality, and productivity.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Manage pharmacist team by providing clear purpose and direction, expectations, aligning and prioritizing department goals and efforts with organizational goals.
Make employment decisions such as hiring, disciplinary action, dismissal, and promotions.
Train and support team members, including in ongoing team coaching and professional development.
Conduct performance reviews, skip-level meetings, provide regular feedback, and implement disciplinary measures.
WHAT YOU BRING
Current pharmacist license in GA, in good standing
B.S. or PharmD in Pharmacy
5+ years of experience as a practicing pharmacist
3+ years of experience in personnel management, including hiring, training, and development
Proven knowledge of pharmacy operations and compliance requirements
Strong problem-solving, organization, and time-management skills
Excellent communication skills and ability to provide constructive feedback, resolve conflicts, and motivate team members
Preferred Experience and Qualifications:
Pharmacist license in multiple states
Experience in a pharmacy leadership role or related healthcare management position
Familiarity with Vetsource’s systems and workflows
WORKING CONDITIONS

Pay range (US based applicants): $139,806 - $165,000 (annualized)
Actual compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job-related skills, experience, certifications, relevant education and training, while also considering internal equity.
