The Pharmacy Manager – Inpatient Operations provides operational leadership within a large, high-volume academic medical center, overseeing controlled substance workflows and supporting central pharmacy and procedural areas, including the OR. This role directly manages pharmacy technicians while collaborating closely with inpatient pharmacy teams, procedural staff, and compliance stakeholders to ensure efficient, safe medication practices. Key responsibilities include leading regulatory compliance and auditing processes, monitoring and investigating controlled substance discrepancies and diversion concerns, and using data to identify trends and drive process improvements. Serving as a key liaison across departments, this role plays a critical part in strengthening operational integrity, mitigating risk, and aligning best practices across the enterprise.
A caregiver in this role will work Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm. Leadership will be on call, every 12th week. Onsite weekend requirements occur every 12th week. No holidays or no floating expectations.
