JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Job Summary:
The Pharmacy Courier is responsible for delivering medications and pharmacy supplies to organizational offsite and patient residential locations via their personal vehicle. The courier is responsible for ensuring that all items are delivered to the correct locations and signatures are obtained for each delivery. The courier must be able to operate the pharmacy electronic handheld device. The courier must have excellent driving skills and follow a delivery schedule efficiently and safely. The courier will assist with other pharmacy related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Must be at least 18 years of age. High School diploma or equivalent preferred. Must be able to operate a point-of-sale computer system. Must be able to work with minimal direct supervision. Courier or pharmacy industry experience preferred. This role requires excellent customer service skills, good verbal communication skills, basic mathematical skills, and knowledge about products and services available.
Must have a valid and current state issued driver’s license. Must maintain and provide proof of automobile insurance (at his/her own expense) in amounts which meet at least the minimum liability coverage limits required by the state of their residence. Clearance of driving record check; Driving records shall not contain any of the following: a suspended or revoked driver’s license, 3 or more moving violations in the past 36 months, 2 or more accidents in the past 36 months, 1 or more instances of driving under the influence (DUI) or driving while intoxicated (DWI) within the past 24 months, at fault in a fatal accident within the past 5 years, leaving the scene of an accident within the past 36 months, and/or reckless driving within the past 12 months.
Physical Demands:
Must possess good physical health. Some requirements include but are not limited to standing, sitting or walking for long periods of time. Lifting at least 50 pounds is required.

Frequently (34%-66%) - reaching, handling/feeling
Occasionally (1%-33%) – lifting, carrying, pushing/pulling, climbing (stairs, ladders, etc), balancing, stooping, crouching
