As a Pharmacy Clinical Specialist in Neuro Critical Care, you will provide advanced, decentralized pharmaceutical care within one of the nation’s highest-acuity critical care environments. Serving the Neuro Intensive Care Unit (NICU), you will manage the acute and ongoing medication needs of complex neurological patients through therapeutic drug monitoring, medication reconciliation, safety optimization and cost-effective pharmacotherapy planning. Collaboration is essential, as you will work closely with a large, team-oriented group of critical care pharmacists and interdisciplinary providers across the medical, surgical and neurological ICUs. In this role, you will also precept APPE students and PGY1/PGY2 residents, contribute to research and departmental projects, and represent pharmacy on key committees. A caregiver in this position works from 7:00am to 3:30pm and will rotate every 8th weekend day or evening. Requirements also include 8 evenings per year and 1 major and 1 minor holiday per year.
