Pay Range

$32.45 - $48.70

Major Responsibilities:
  • Works with the pharmacy supply chain managers, pharmacy operations and drug use policy staff to identify, quantify and source medications on critical shortage.
  • Ensures compliance with the 340B Drug Discount Program through an audit process.
  • Using specialized software, maintains the inventory accumulators that allow Aurora's disproportionate share hospitals, eligible hospital outpatient clinics and contract pharmacies to access the 340B Drug Discount Program.
  • Identifies, implements and/or documents the financial impact of drug cost reduction initiatives and revenue enhancement initiatives.
  • Coordinates and assists pharmacy automation and information technology upgrades to manage and maintain formulary database and informatics.
  • Collaborates with the system pharmacy department management team to formulate ideas, analyze problems, and develop and implement solutions to ultimately improve patient care.
  • Effectively communicates with other Aurora caregivers throughout the Aurora system and externally to gather necessary information for conducting analysis and making informed and appropriate recommendations.
  • Serves as a pharmacy supply chain resource to Aurora caregivers located in hospitals, clinics, retail pharmacies and home infusion.

Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification Required:
  • None Required.

Education Required:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field.

Experience Required:
  • Typically requires 3 years of experience in business operations analysis and contracting and purchasing analysis.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:
  • Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office (Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Word) or similar products.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, problem solving and communication skills (oral and written, group, and one-on-one).
  • Extensive knowledge of statistical methods, data analysis and presentation.
  • Ability to work on multiple tasks, set appropriate priorities, and accomplish assignments in a thorough and timely fashion.
  • Demonstrated ability for analysis, logical thinking, accuracy and concern for detail, and the ability to work with tight deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and to function as a team member when necessary.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
  • Operates all equipment necessary to perform the job.
  • Exposed to normal office environment areas.
  • Must have ability to lift up to 10 lbs. occasionally.
  • Uses a computer continuously throughout the workday.
  • Must be able to sit for extended periods of time.
  • The position requires travel so the incumbent will be exposed to road and weather hazards.
  • Sits the majority of the workday.
