As a Pharmacist, you have a critical role at the forefront of delivering our purpose, modeling our values, and demonstrating genuine, authentic care for our patients. In addition to supporting the Director of Pharmacy and in leading and directing your Pharmacy Technician Support Staff, you are accountable for supporting the management, oversight and operation of all aspects within your pharmacy. Primary tasks and duties will include workflow management, inventory management, loss prevention, patient safety and other duties assigned. Pharmacists will also be required to Identify needs and opportunities within the Pharmacy to improve and successfully implement solutions by leading your team to achieve specified goals. Following policies, regulatory procedures, HIPAA, OSHA are required.
The Pharmacist dispenses prescription medication along with key information such as side effects, contraindications with other medicines, and a range of other concerns. They also walk customers through their physician’s dosage and usage instructions to ensure medications are safely and effectively consumed.
Duties & Responsibilities:
• Works with the pharmacy manager to meet area-specific goals and the goals of the department
• Establishes collaborative pharmacist/patient relationships
• Participates in training and development for other pharmacists, technicians, and interns
• Assures safe and accurate dispensing of medications
• Provide accurate verification of medications
• Identifies, mitigates, prevents, and documents problems with prescriptions
• Provides counseling to patients on the proper use of their medications, possible side effects, and the role of prescribed medications in the overall therapeutic care plan
• Accurately dispenses controlled substances in accordance with the MA and Federal laws
• Manages all queues in the pharmacy software system
• Participates in risk evaluation and mitigation strategy (REMS) compliance
Other Duties & Responsibilities:
• Reads, understands, and complies with all Standards of Conduct, JCAHO policies, etc.
• Adheres to EBNHC standards of Employee Conduct and all related policies and procedures by:
• Demonstrating excellent customer service;
• Showing respect to other employees;
• Adhering to standards of cultural competency and non-discrimination;
• Adhering to standards of privacy;
• Adhering to attendance and other policies and utilizing appropriate notification and other procedures.
Education & Requirements:
Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Pharm. D. degree
Active MA Pharmacist License without disciplinary action
1-2 years of previous Pharmacist experience preferred
Time management and customer service skills
Motivated and team-centered mindset
Leadership skills, along with writing and computer skills
Bilingual skills preferred.
Pay rate starting at $127,920 and up to $205,920 based on experience
