Pharmaceutical Material Specialist I – Dispensing

Location: Vacaville, CA

Compensation for this role will be determined by the candidate’s qualifications, skills, experience, and relevant knowledge.

What you will do:

  • Perform and monitor all dispensing processes and weighs, including liquids, powders (hazardous and non‑hazardous), acids, and bases under cGMP guidelines to support therapeutic protein manufacturing.

  • Develop a foundational understanding of cGMP compliance while training, demonstrating aseptic technique and awareness of cross‑contamination risks.

  • Follow and adhere to all SOPs; monitor equipment and processes; conduct basic laboratory tasks including pH, conductivity, and sampling while gowned in a Class C environment.

  • Execute process recipes and maintain qualifications for all assigned tasks, including routine cleaning and sanitization of Dispensing equipment.

  • Complete peer First-Level Reviews of eDispense orders/kits following required training.

  • Prepare and transport materials to manufacturing suites; perform physical and system-based material movements.

  • Participate in safety inspections, report observations, attend shift exchanges/meetings, complete raw material requisitions, and generate scheduled eDispense recipes.

What we are looking for:

  • Associate degree and/or equivalent experience as a Dispensing Technician. AS/BS in a scientific field preferred.

  • Ability to comprehend and follow detailed instructions and operate effectively as an active member of a team.

  • Ability to learn quickly, interpret data, and apply critical-thinking and decision‑making skills.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

  • Experience or familiarity with SAP, Syncaid, and Orchestrate systems.

  • Strong attention to detail, documentation accuracy, and willingness to work in a cGMP, PPE‑required production environment.
