Pharmaceutical Group Leader [Night shift / 12 hours / MON - FRI]

ROLE SUMMARY

Clearly communicates supervisor's instructions and production schedules to employees in accomplishing a variety of tasks, in meeting quality, accountability, security, productivity and safety requirements per SOP's, batch records, CGMP's, and Plant Procedures.  Reports quality, security, accountability and efficiency discrepancies and production progress to supervisor. 

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assists, trains and performs line duties as required in meeting production requirements. 
  • Promotes teamwork, a positive work environment and an atmosphere that enhances continuous improvement in efficiencies, material variances and product quality.
  • Monitors training requirements and recommends training to assure employees perform jobs correctly. 
  • Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must have high school education or equivalent with a minimum 2 years of prior pharmaceutical, manufacturing and/or industrial experience.
  • Must be able to follow instructions and leader other Colleagues in accomplishing various tasks to achieve quality, productivity and safety requirements per SOP's, cGMP's and Plant Procedures.
  • Must possess reading, writing and basic math skills.
  • Must have ability to learn, understand and apply SOP's, SPC documentation and batch records to all areas of production.
  • Must be able to work independently with minimum supervision in performing work

  
 

PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be able to work in conditions with exposure to inks, solvents, heat, steam, solvents and most product solutions.
  • Must be able to read and write and follow written and oral instructions.
  • Must be able to communicate and work well interdepartmentally, as well as, with all plant departments.
  • Required to do frequent lifting of 15-20 pounds and occasional lifting in excess of 25 pounds.
  • Vision must be correctable to 20/20.
  • Satisfactory performance and attendance is required.

NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE, TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS

12 hr rotating Night position: 6pm-6am.

12-hour shifts, Monday through Thursday with a dedicated day off and every other Friday.

The salary for this position ranges from $20.61 to $34.35 per hour. In addition, this position offers eligibility for overtime, weekend, holiday and other pay premiums depending on the work schedule and the Company’s policies.
