• Responsibilities will include but are not limited to be part of PGDM Facilities operations team and will own, sustain, and improve system capacity, operational troubleshooting, system upgrade evaluation and optimization.
• Furthermore, you will enhance performance by utilizing statistical process control methodologies, Design of Experiments and developing procedures for our systems. Provide projects and sustaining electrical engineering support at our facilities.
• Act as the System Owner for electrical distribution system. Modelling the electrical power system and track changes
- Troubleshooting electrical system problems, conducting breaker coordination and arc flash studies.
• Systematic problem solving, providing electrical load and capacity data - Delivering operational efficiency, maintenance, testing and commissioning solutions, responding to power outages, disturbances and leading in the recovery effort, site audit, etc. some travel and occasional weekend engineering support will also be required.
- Familiar with local utilities regulations with regards to TNB and Suruhanjaya Tenaga
• Reviewing and approving all electrical designs in the manufacturing.
• Possessing thorough knowledge of facilities low and medium voltage electrical distribution systems including transformers, low voltage substations, MCC, generators, UPS, etc. ability to review cost estimates, budgets, and ROI analysis.
• Ability to work on multiple projects and issues concurrently, possess a good knowledge of the latest NEC code, NFPA 70E, UL 508a, NFPA 79, IEEE-242 and 3rd party electrical inspections.
• Can clearly articulate key messages in a logical fashion within the team, to customers
• Must have a proven ability to read and interpret design drawings and specifications.
• Develop and write procedures to support high performance operations and experience in ensuring high reliably operations of aging electrical infrastructure.
• Help maintain the facilities document control system by ensuring electrical as built drawings are incorporated into the master CAD drawing.
• Ensure electrical system model is up to date and all construction specifications, as built, O and M manuals and submittals are received after project close out.
• Help maintain and organize the document control storage area for fast retrieval of information such as drawings, specifications, manuals, etc. Work closely with Project Engineers, contractors, and engineers on project design and close out documentation; coordinate and oversee work of external consultant's CAD support.
• Provide design and industrial engineering support on projects, organize, set up and maintain a CAD and document control system.
Qualifications:
- Candidate must possess a Bachelors or Masters degree in Electrical Engineering with more than 8 years of experience or related field.
- Experience in Advanced Semiconductor manufacturing environment with emphasis on Low and High voltage power, load flow analysis, electrical system modeling, electrical engineering specification and design, and short circuit calculations, overcurrent device coordination and electrical utility forecasting for large manufacturing facilities, system modeling, electrical engineering specification and design, and short circuit calculations, overcurrent device coordination and electrical utility forecasting for large manufacturing facilities.
- Experience in project coordination and management for electrical projects would be advantage
- Experience in Energy Management at high volume facilities also will be added advantage
- This is a 1 years contract period for supporting start up, commissioning activities, operation and maintenance activities.
