Personal Lines Insurance Advisor

Brown & Brown is seeking a Personal Lines Insurance Advisor to join our growing team in Markham, ON.

In this role, you will produce and edit documents, reports, and presentations; perform high‑volume, accurate data entry; and maintain organized electronic files to ensure data integrity. You will manage correspondence, scheduling, and administrative workflows while upholding Brown & Brown’s professional communication standards. This role also contributes to a positive, team‑oriented environment and supports continuous improvement across daily operations.

How You Will Contribute:

  • Managing phone queue performance to ensure customers receive timely support.

  • Oversee pipeline activity and quote accuracy through effective use of CRM tools.

  • Ensure all new business leads are contacted within established service level standards.

  • Conduct follow‑up calls on warm web leads and incoming service requests to drive engagement.

  • Deliver an exceptional customer experience across both phone and email communications.

  • Prepare accurate and timely new business quotes using ARS and designated carrier portals.

  • Provide insurance guidance by assessing client needs and recommending appropriate coverage options.

  • Collaborate with Senior Account Executives to troubleshoot and resolve complex file issues.

  • Stay current on carrier underwriting guidelines, market trends, and ongoing professional education.

Licenses and Certifications:

  • RIBO license in good standing

Skills & Experience to Be Successful:

  • Post-Secondary Education

  • Strong organizational and time management skills

  • Ability to multitask using digital procedures and technology 

  • Knowledge of insurance coverages, contracts and familiarity with carrier portals.

  • Proficient knowledge in Microsoft Windows environment, including but not limited to Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point.  Able to create, edit, and merge letters, spreadsheets, labels, etc.

  • Proficient knowledge of office equipment (including but not limited to copy machines, printers, faxes etc.)

  • 2+ experience in the insurance industry, or a related field.

Pay Range

$55,000 - $60,000 Annual

Actual salary will be determined based on qualifications, experience, and work location. Package may include base pay, commissions, and/or bonuses.
