Overview:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Personal Injury Legal Assistant to support our growing litigation team in Columbus, Ohio. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced legal environment, enjoys working directly with clients, and takes pride in keeping cases moving efficiently from intake through resolution.

You will play a critical role in supporting attorneys with case preparation, client communication, medical records management, and litigation coordination.

Key Responsibilities:

Client & Case Support

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for personal injury clients
  • Conduct client intake interviews and maintain regular case updates
  • Request, track, and organize medical records, bills, and wage documentation
  • Communicate with insurance adjusters, medical providers, and opposing counsel

Case Management & Litigation Support

  • Draft and file pleadings, discovery, motions, and correspondence
  • Prepare case summaries, demand packages, and settlement documents
  • Maintain case calendars, deadlines, and court schedules
  • Assist with trial preparation, including exhibit and witness coordination

Administrative & Office Support

  • Manage electronic and physical case files
  • Schedule depositions, mediations, and client meetings
  • Process incoming and outgoing mail, emails, and court filings
  • Ensure compliance with court rules and internal procedures

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience as a legal assistant or paralegal (personal injury preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of Ohio court procedures and filing requirements
  • Experience with case management software (e.g., Clio, Needles, SmartAdvocate, Filevine, etc.)
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to manage a high-volume caseload
Compensation Range:
$50,000$60,000 USD

Compensation: The base salary or hourly range for this position will be determined during the interview process and will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to; prior relevant experience, business needs and market factors. Additionally, salary wages are only part of the total compensation package.
