About the role:
We’re currently seeking applications from experienced, passionate and dynamic Registered Nurses to join our team in a permanent part time role (24 hours per week) in this newly created Perioperative Nurse Educator position.
In this role you will work closely with our Perioperative Nurse Unit Managers, Clinical Facilitators and educators to develop, implement, and evaluate the education needs of our perioperative unit. The ideal candidate will be a subject matter expert, dedicated to the planning, coordination, delivery and evaluation of exceptional education and commitment to the continuous culture of excellence, patient safety and supportive of professional growth.
About our hospital:
At St Vincent’s Private Hospital Northside, we have over 1,000 dedicated and skilled staff who treat nearly 35,000 people a year, delivering safe and high-quality care to all our patients. Our hospital has 227 beds, 9 operating theatres, 2 cardiac catheter laboratories, a 17-bed Intensive Care Unit (ICU), Day Oncology Unit, Breast Health Centre, Endoscopy Unit, Cardiac Rehabilitation Unit and a 24-hour, private emergency centre provided by Brisbane Northside Emergency. Our specialties include breast health, cancer care, cardiology, cardiothoracic surgery and orthopaedics.

About you:
Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse
A minimum 2 years clinical experience in a perioperative setting; with ideally post graduate qualifications in perioperative nursing
Experience in the delivery of clinical education, staff development or precepting
Post graduate qualifications in teaching or education; is desirable
Ability to work autonomously, and effectively within a team
