Performance & Mediation Engineer

Oslo Full time

We’re looking for a Performance & Mediation Engineer to join us.

I’m Jorge Santos, Head of Broadband Data Mediation, and I’m searching for someone ready to grow with us. We’re a supportive, forward-thinking team focused on delivering end-to-end Performance Management (PM) and data mediation for fixed networks using OpenText NNMi/NOM and OPTIC Data Lake—turning raw network metrics into reliable KPIs and insights for our stakeholders.

What you’ll do:

You will own and evolve the PM data pipelines that connect fixed-network devices and OSS to our target platform (NNMi/NOM + OPTIC DL), ensuring trusted, explainable data for operations and business.

  • Develop & Operate robust data ingestion and transformation flows from network elements to OPTIC Data Lake and NNMi/NOM PM models (SNMP polls, traps, REST, files/streaming).

  • Integrate with adjacent systems (inventory/topology, ITSM, analytics) using best applicable methods, ie. - APIs, message queues, event-driven, etc.

  • Collaborate with the Solution Architect, Product Owner/Scrum Master, and Performance Analysts to prioritize value and deliver continuous improvements towards our stakeholders.

  • Reduce vendor dependence by internalizing NNMi/OPTIC competence (custom pollers, metric model extensions, onboarding new data sources)

What will help you thrive in this role:

You are an execution‑minded engineer who enjoys making data reliable, explainable, and useful—and you’re comfortable moving between telecom specifics and performance/data mediation craft.

  • Proven experience in working with data pipelines in OSS/telecom PM or adjacent network analytics domains

  • Strong knowledge of OpenText NNMi/NOM (PM data model, custom pollers) and OPTIC Data Lake ingestion concepts—or equivalent vendor PM stacks with readiness to learn ours.

  • Hands-on skills in Python and SQL, ETL/ELT frameworks, and job orchestration

  • Understanding of SNMP (MIBs, polling), traps, and emerging streaming telemetry approaches. Familiarity with data quality, lineage, governance, and schema evolution.

  • Fluency in English; additional Nordic/Baltic language skills are a plus.

Nice to have: experience with message buses (Kafka/MQ), time-series platforms, observability stacks (Grafana/Prometheus/ELK/Power BI).
