The role in a nutshell:
To operationalise the high-performance framework designed by the Head of People Strategy. This role ensures that managers across the business have the tools, data, and coaching skills to drive high performance within their teams.
Your mission will be:
- Take the overarching performance philosophy and manage the cycles centrally across all departments.
- Act as the primary consultant for People Partners and Department Leads on handling complex performance calibrations and Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs).
- Maintain a High-Performance Dashboard, tracking completion rates, distribution of ratings, and identifying flight risks among top performers.
- Manage the promotion process, ensuring that all movements are backed by the performance data required by succession planning.
- Design and run workshops (in partnership with L&D) specifically focused on how to achieve the performance philosophy e.g. feedback.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organisational Psychology, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5–7 years of experience in People Operations or HR Business Partnering, with at least 3 years specifically focused on performance management or talent development.
- Proven track record of working independently while influencing stakeholders at the Director level.
- Technical Skills & Expertise
- Advanced proficiency in HRIS and Performance Management software.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to build and maintain High-Performance Dashboards; expert-level knowledge of Excel or Google Sheets.
- Deep understanding of performance philosophies such as OKRs, 360-degree feedback, and bell-curve distributions/calibrations.
- Core Competencies
- Demonstrated ability to coach managers through difficult conversations, PIPs, and complex performance calibrations with high emotional intelligence.
- Experience in designing and delivering workshops to diverse audiences, specifically regarding feedback loops and professional growth.
- Ability to manage high-stakes, company-wide cycles (like annual reviews or promotion windows) with strict deadlines and multiple stakeholders.
