If you are our Performance Architect, Commercial PCs, you will have a chance to:

  • Apply advanced subject matter knowledge to solve complex business issues and is regarded as a subject matter expert.

  • Frequently contributes to the development of new ideas and methods.

  • Works on complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of multiple factors.

  • Leads and/or provides expertise to functional project teams and may participate in cross-functional initiatives.

  • Acts as an expert providing direction and guidance to process improvements and establishing policies.

  • Frequently represents the organization to external customers/clients.

  • Exercises significant independent judgment within broadly defined policies and practices to determine best method for accomplishing work and achieving objectives. May provide mentoring and guidance to lower-level employees.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Leads multiple project teams of other performance engineers and internal and outsourced development partners responsible for all stages of performance target/development for complex products and platforms, including performance projection with IHV and propose performance goal/architecture solution to product marketing and handover to execution engineers.

  • Provides domain-specific expertise and overall product performance leadership and perspective to cross-organization projects, programs, and activities.

  • Drives innovation and integration of new technologies into projects and activities.

  • Provides guidance and mentoring to less- experienced staff members.

  • Manages deliverables, schedules, and costs for multiple ongoing projects, ensuring that resources are appropriately allocated and that goals, objectives, timelines, and budgets are met in accordance with program and organizational roadmaps.

  • Provides domain-specific expertise and overall thermal leadership and perspective to cross-organization projects, programs, and activities.

  • Drives POC (proof of concept) with HW and FW/SW development to prove the new technologies and implementation to further products

  • Solves problems in straightforward situations; analyzes possible solutions using technical experience and judgment and precedents.

  • Provides guidance and mentoring to less experienced staff members.

Education & Experience Recommended

  • Four-year or Graduate Degree in Thermal Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.

  • 10-15 years of work experience, preferably in engineering design and solutions, implementation across hardware development lifecycle, or a related field.

Knowledge & Skills

  • Using performance benchmark tools (Cinabench, Geekbench, Procyon family, PCMark…etc.)

  • Excellent analytical especially in AI/graphic/computing performance and persona.

  • Experience in cross IHV (Intel/AMD/Qualcomm/Apple) silicon performance projection/measurement comparison and analysis and provide performance architecture solutions to product.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; mastery in English and local language.

  • Ability to effectively communicate product architectures, design proposals and negotiate options at senior expert levels.

  • Easy/quickly adapt to platform planning and innovation working assignments.

  • Being growth mindset, strong learning capability, adaptive and flexible to try new approach.

  • HOU/Taipei meeting time zone required.
