Summary:

We are looking for a People Operations Associate to join our People Operations Service Delivery team. This is a hybrid role out of Vancouver, Toronto, or Calgary.

What your team does:

The People Operations Associate is a foundational member of the Service Delivery Team, responsible for providing first-line support to employees and managers across core People Operations processes. This role is focused on delivering fast, friendly, and accurate support through centralized intake channels while ensuring requests are handled consistently and in alignment with documented processes.

What you'll work on:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for employee and manager inquiries submitted through FreshService, Slack, and email.

  • Resolve Tier 1 requests related to the employee life cycle, such as onboarding, offboarding, payroll, benefits, leave of absence, employment verification, and general People policies using documented workflows and knowledge articles.

  • Follow standardized processes and decision trees to ensure consistent, compliant, and high-quality service delivery.

  • Maintain and update tickets in FreshService to ensure accurate tracking, documentation, and auditability of employee requests.

  • Identify when issues fall outside Tier 1 scope and escalate appropriately to Senior People Operations Specialist and/or Team Lead, People Operations Service Delivery.

  • Take ownership of knowledge base content by maintaining accuracy, updating resources, and identifying opportunities to improve employee self-service.

  • Support data entry and validation across People systems to ensure employee records and transactions are accurate and up to date.

  • Deliver a positive employee experience by communicating clearly, empathetically, and professionally with employees at all times.

What you may have:

  • Comfort working in structured workflows and following documented processes and decision trees.

  • Experience using ticketing systems, case management tools, or HR systems (e.g., FreshService, Workday) is preferred.

  • Strong written communication skills and ability to explain People processes clearly to employees.

  • High attention to detail, with the ability to accurately process transactions and maintain data integrity.

  • A service-oriented mindset with a focus on providing fast, friendly, and reliable support.

This role is a backfill for an existing position.

The expected salary range* for this role is $58,300 to $68,600 to $78,900 CAD. There are a separate set of salary bands for other regions based on local currency.


*Our salary bands are designed to reflect the range of skills and experience needed for the position and to allow room for growth at Clio. For experienced individuals, we typically hire at or around the midpoint of the band. The top portion of the salary band is reserved for employees who demonstrate sustained high performance and impact at Clio. Those who are new to the role may join below the midpoint and develop their skills over time. The final offer amount for this role will be dependent on geographical region, applicable experience, and skillset of the candidate.
