Where We Need You 

We are looking for a People & Culture Senior Business Partner to join our team Protiviti works in a hybrid environment and this role requires that you work in-person in our Seattle office several times per week as well as travel to Salt Lake City 

What You Can Expect 

As a People & Culture Senior Business Partner, you will deliver on key talent priorities with an emphasis on performance management, integration of new practice professionals, compensation and benefits administration, and employee relations. You are a culture builder who effectively establishes and maintains strong relationships across the firm, fostering an environment where employees can thrive. You will bring a solid understanding of business strategy and practice needs, along with industry, skill and geographical trends, enabling you to provide informed, strategic people guidance.  

What You Will Be Doing 

  • Partner closely with senior leaders to implement a localized version of our HR agenda that closely supports the overall goals of the organization.  

  • Partner with leaders to reinforce an inclusive, respectful workplace culture in alignment with Protiviti’s values. 

  • Analyze workforce trends and people data to inform talent decisions, workforce planning, and leadership discussions. 

  • Communicate and align business objectives with both leaders and employees. 

  • Serve as a business partner to leaders on human resource-related issues, including employee engagement and experience within designated teams 

  • Maintain ongoing awareness of practice professionals’ strengths and development needs to support growth, development, and on-the-job learning opportunities. 

  • Manage performance issues, investigations, employee relations matters, and project-related concerns, escalating as appropriate  

  • Actively support performance management and compensation processes, including reviewing employee evaluations, logging ratings, assisting with performance assessment meetings, and ensuring timely completion of mid-year and annual reviews.  

  • Collaborate with Talent Management to strategically assign practice professionals to client and internal roles, supporting succession planning, rotations, and successful project environments.  

  • Operate effectively within a matrixed organization, partnering, influencing and aligning stakeholders across practices, capabilities, and geographies. 

  • Partner with leaders to support regional, national, or global organizational initiatives 

  • Oversee local new-hire integration and follow-up to ensure a smooth onboarding and assimilation experience.  

  • Conduct employee exit interviews, document themes and improvement opportunities, and manage attrition reporting.  

  • Support employee lifecycle actions, including new hires, transfers, leaves of absence, and terminations.  

  • Lead and support office events such as happy hours, holiday gatherings, and community or charity initiatives. 

  • Participate in broader People & Culture initiatives and respond to ad hoc leadership requests as needed.  

  • Investigate and resolve payroll and benefits issues.  

  • Manage employee recognition programs and processes.  

  • Assist with ad-hoc market leadership requests.

  • Comfort navigating ambiguity and managing priorities across a matrixed organization. 

  • Experience using MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint. 

  • Experience leveraging AI-enabled tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot) to improve efficiency, insights, and quality of work. 

 

Your Educational and Professional Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s and/or master’s degree in a relevant discipline (e.g., Business, Management, Marketing, Communications, English, Human Resources). 

  • 5+ years of experience in human resources or a related field, preferably in professional services, agency recruiting and/or industry. 

  • Professional certification (PHR or SPHR) preferred. 

Our Hybrid Workplace 

Protiviti operates in a hybrid work environment, meaning all employees are expected to achieve a blend of in-person and remote work. This model creates meaningful experiences for our people and clients while offering a flexible environment. The expected ratio of remote to in-person work will vary by team and other business factors. Local and/or out-of-state travel is required based on our project and internal client commitments.

Starting salary is based on a full-time equivalent schedule. Placement in the range is dependent upon experience, skills and geographic work location. Below is the salary range for this job.

$75,000.00 - $113,000.00

Our annual bonus plan provides eligible employees additional cash and/or discretionary stock compensation opportunities. Below is the bonus target opportunity for this job.

The total cash range is estimated from the sum of the base salary range plus the bonus target opportunity. Below is the estimated total cash range for this job.

$81,000.00 - $122,040.00

Employees are eligible for medical, dental, and vision coverages, FSA and HSA healthcare accounts, life and accident insurance, adoption and fertility assistance, paid parental leave up to 10 weeks, and short/long term disability. We offer eligible employees a company 401(k) savings and investment plan with an employer match of 50% on the first 6% of your contributions. We provide Choice Time Off (CTO) for vacation, personal needs, and sick time. The amount of (CTO) varies based on years of service. New hires receive up to 20 days of CTO per calendar year. Protiviti also recognizes up to 11 paid holidays each calendar year.
