POSITION SUMMARY

The People & Culture team is seeking an intern who is interested in learning about many aspects of human resources at a non-profit foundation. The intern may participate in learning opportunities in recruitment, employee engagement, learning and development, access and engagement, and/or benefits.
The intern will work onsite in our offices in New York City. The expected schedule is Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. This temporary internship is expected to run from June 1 to August 13, 2026.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES
Conduct internet research and update resources and contact information on spreadsheets accordingly.
Complete online trainings and provide written summaries and feedback.
Read relevant human resources articles and provide written summaries.
Research relevant vendors and partners as needed.
Archive, scan, and file documents.
Format and update documents and templates as needed.
Audit and organize data.
Attend team meetings and take meeting minutes when requested.
Assist with additional tasks and projects as requested.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Enrollment in or completion of an undergraduate degree.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel) is required. Proficiency in Google Docs is helpful.
Skilled in organizing information, data, and files.
Accuracy and attention to detail.
Willingness to learn and contribute to the responsibilities of the team.
Interest in exploring a career in human resources, administration, or operations.
Ability to maintain high level of confidentiality and discretion.

COMPENSATION
This internship pays $20 per hour.
