Careem

People Business Partnering & Culture Partner

Riyadh, Saudi Arabia Full Time

Careem is building the Everything App for the greater Middle East — making it easy to move around, order food and groceries, manage payments, and more. Our purpose is simple: to simplify and improve people’s lives and build an awesome organisation that inspires.
Since 2012, Careem has enabled earnings for over 2.5 million Captains, simplified the lives of more than 70 million customers, and built a platform where the region’s best talent and entrepreneurs thrive. We operate in 70+ cities across 10 countries, from Morocco to Pakistan.

We’re now entering our next chapter — one powered by AI. We’re looking for AI talent: curious problem-solvers who know how to apply AI to build tools, automate workflows, and create real impact. Whether it’s streamlining operations, enhancing customer experience, or reimagining internal systems — we want people who can make Careem work smarter and move faster.

About the role

As the People Business Partnering & Culture Partner for KSA, you are the cultural heartbeat of Careem across the entire Kingdom. You will not just manage a site; you will own the end-to-end "Tiger" experience for our diverse teams from Riyadh to Jeddah. Your mission is to harmonize our global "Everything App" strategy with the unique local fabric of each Saudi region, ensuring Careem remains the gold standard for employment in the country.

What you'll do

  • Distributed Leadership: Act as the primary People Partner for all KSA-based business leaders (Food, Groceries, Dineout, Operations, Marketing and more).
  • Regional Nuance: Tailor people strategies to meet the specific talent needs and cultural nuances of different Saudi provinces.
  • Organizational Design: Support the scaling of regional hubs, ensuring lean but effective team structures that align with Careem’s high-growth OKRs.
  • National Culture: Design and execute a KSA-wide engagement calendar. You ensure a Tiger in Jeddah feels just as connected to the Careem mission as a Tiger in the Riyadh HQ.
  • Unified Voice: Standardize internal communications across all KSA offices while allowing for local "flavor" in celebrations (e.g., Founding Day, Eid, and regional milestones).
  • Engagement Analytics: Use data to identify engagement gaps in specific regions and deploy targeted interventions to boost morale and productivity.
  • National Talent Pipeline: Partner with Talent Acquisition to drive Saudization across all levels, moving beyond quotas to build a sustainable, high-performing Saudi leadership bench.
  • Early Careers: Support the "Careem Next Gen" program, engaging with universities across the Kingdom to attract the brightest local tech and ops talent.
  • Performance Culture: Train managers across KSA on delivering radical candor and high-impact performance coaching in a remote-first environment.
  • Labor Law Expertise: Act as the subject matter expert on Saudi Labor Law and MHRSD regulations across all regions.
  • Governance: Partner with Government Relations (GR) to ensure seamless management of Qiwa, Mudad, and GOSI for a geographically dispersed workforce.
  • ER Management: Lead complex employee relations cases across the Kingdom with a focus on fairness, speed, and Careem’s values.

What you'll need

  • 7+ years of HR experience, ideally in a multi-site or national role within a high-growth tech, retail, or logistics firm.
  • Exceptional Arabic and English communication skills are non-negotiable.
  • Proven ability to work autonomously and manage the people agenda for a whole country without needing constant HQ supervision.
  • Ability to interpret people data to drive decisions across different business units and geographies.

What we’ll provide you

We offer colleagues the opportunity to drive impact in the region while they learn and grow. As a full time Careem colleague, you will be able to:

  • Access to healthcare benefits and fitness reimbursements for health activities including gym, health club, and training classes.
