Pediatric Radiologic Technologist (Tues-Fri, 1030p-7a)

Job Description Summary

Performs radiographic procedures at a technical level requiring sound understanding of anatomical positioning and physiology; a high degree of technical competency and with the ability to act with initiative and ingenuity with minimum supervision. Apply ionizing radiation for radiologic diagnosis in adult and/or pediatric radiology.
-US News and World Report – 4 ranked programs – cardiology, GI/GI surgery, nephrology, cancer
-Only level 1 pediatrics trauma program in SC
-Only solid organ transplant (kidney, liver, heart), BMT programs for pediatrics in South Carolina
-Only level 4 NICU (offering ecmo, complex cardiac/surgical cases) in South Carolina

-Over 26 subspecialties in Children’s healthcare

Job Description

Perform medical exams using X-rays on patients to create images of specific parts of the body. The images are then interpreted by a doctor for diagnosis and monitoring of disease.

Additional Job Description

Education: Graduation from an accredited school of radiologic technology. Experience: Zero to two years of modality specific work experience.   Registration/Certification: Must be registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) within 6 months of hire. Licensure from the South Carolina Radiation Quality Standards Association is required. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required, either a certification from an American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for Healthcare Providers (or AHA  recognized equivalent) or an American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
