$54.90 - $82.35The Division of Pediatric Psychology and Neuropsychology at Levine Children’s Hospital is recruiting a full-time Pediatric Psychologist to provide evidence-based consultation-liaison, assessment, and intervention services to pediatric patients and their families receiving care at Atrium Health Levine Children’s Congenital Heart Center and those admitted to our inpatient Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) and progressive cardiology unit. The congenital heart center serves a diverse patient population including patients with congenital heart defects, arrythmias, genetic heart conditions, heart failure, transplant, and preventative cardiology.
Responsibilities will include provision of individual and family psychotherapy, brief consultation-liaison services in the inpatient setting, brief psychosocial assessments in multidisciplinary clinics, and care coordination with an interdisciplinary team. There may be opportunities for neurodevelopmental assessment.
Psychologists at Levine Children’s also participate in the training of psychology practicum students and other trainees. Clinical research, quality improvement projects, and new program development are encouraged. This position is eligible for a faculty appointment through the Wake Forest University School of Medicine Department of Pediatrics, with rank commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Works in a patient care area with potentially combative or self-destructive patients. Each employee has the responsibility to work in a safe manner. Work requires walking, standing, lifting, reaching, and handling of charts and supplies.
Education, Experience and Certifications
Doctoral Degree in Clinical Psychology from, an APA approved training program required; license eligible or currently licensed as a Licensed Practicing Psychologist from the N.C. State Board of Examiners of Practicing Psychologists required. BLS required per policy guidelines.
