A pediatric antimicrobial stewardship specialist leads efforts to optimize antibiotic use in children by guiding evidence‑based prescribing, monitoring resistance trends, developing treatment protocols, and collaborating with clinicians to improve patient outcomes while reducing unnecessary antimicrobial exposure.

Additional Job Description

Minimum Training and Education: Doctor of Pharmacy or a Bachelor's degree in pharmacy. Completion of a pharmacy residency preferred. Required Licensure, Certifications, Registrations: Licensed as a Registered Pharmacist by the South Carolina Board of Pharmacy. Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or American Red Cross BLS for Healthcare Providers certification is required
