• Answer questions and provide technical expertise as it affects the programmed parts order fulfillment process.
• Convert programming code/files for production programming and trouble shoot if necessary
• Interface with customers directly to provide technical support for programming inquiries, issues, and requests
• Be a liaison between various DigiKey departments and programming vendors to assure quality and support for current and new programming set ups
• Repair, setup, monitor, and perform routine maintenance on programming and associated equipment
• Provide technical expertise and training to operators on both manual and automated equipment
• Manage spare parts inventory for programming equipment
• Perform cost analysis for new programming opportunities
• Review programming device support from vendors and update DigiKey system flags accordingly
• Review custom cable and battery assembly specifications from customers and ensure a quality product is assembled as a backup function as needed
• Resolve non-conforming product issues relating to the technical aspects of the components as a backup function as needed
• Perform other duties as assigned including but not limited to possible reallocation of efforts to other organizations per business need and management request.
Additional Work Experience:
• Working knowledge of microcontrollers or other memory devices and programming required
• Two - year technical degree or equivalent and relevant skills, and or work experience.
• Read/convert binary and hexadecimal files desired
• Previous knowledge of processes and procedures required for Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) and Moisture Sensitivity Level (MSL) compliancy
• High level of applicable working mechanical knowledge
• Organizing and managing multiple tasks in a timely manner with minimal supervision
• Working with general computer programs/devices (i.e. editing and updating computer programs)
• Work independently as well as be a team player
• Strong decision making and problem-solving ability
• Regular and consistent attendance due to need to access physical equipment
Tools/Systems/Software:
• Generally, spend the workday performing repetitive motions that involve or affect the hands, head, and other parts of your body
• Ability to twist or bend and occasionally climb stairs
• Capable of spending 8-10 hours walking/standing on concrete (may sit or stand for 8-10 hours)
• Be able to sit at a workstation and operate computer devices such as keyboard, mouse, screen

The base pay range for this position is:
$24.25to
