The Global Demand Planning Lead will own and drive the global demand planning process in support of the Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning (SIOP) cadence. This role is responsible for developing accurate, consistent demand forecasts, leading the demand review, and translating commercial and operational inputs into a single, aligned demand plan across regions. The position partners closely with Sales, Supply Chain, Inventory, and Finance to ensure demand assumptions are clear, forecast accuracy is continuously improved, and demand signals effectively support supply, service, and working capital objectives

The SIOP team’s focus is to understand and predict customer demand, develop and launch an effective SIOP process, and balance high service levels with optimized net working capital performance. By partnering closely with regional inventory analysts, Sales, and Operations, the function translates demand signals into actionable plans that optimize inventory positioning, improve service, and reduce excess and obsolescence across the network.

Your responsibilities

  • Design and build a repeatable statistical demand forecast model using sales order historical demand data and to value those forecasts
  • Develop and run demand processes to include commercial input, installed base, product life cycle, etc.
  • Develop and scale demand planning best practices globally
  • Develop and run processes to split forecast into demand streams (AM, Product, Capital and Transfers)
  • Partner with Sales to validate assumptions, pipeline, and known demand drivers
  • Develop and run processes to translate order forecasts into part level demand forecasts (e.g. BOM explosion of order forecasts)
  • Develop implement and lead a disciplined quarterly SIOP
  • Review top forecast errors and drive forecast continuous improvement activities
  • Demand Review including risks and opportunities
  • Ensure demand planning data, master data, and hierarchies are fit-for-purpose for planning and reporting.
  • Provide forward-looking demand scenarios (base / upside / downside) to support supply and inventory decisions.
  • Own forecast accuracy, bias, and demand KPIs and define targets by region, product, and demand stream.

 

What you bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Industrial Engineering, Economics, or related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in supply chain planning, demand planning, sales operations, or inventory planning
  • Strong analytical skills with advanced proficiency in Python, SQL, and Excel; experience with visualization tools (Power BI or Tableau) required.
  • Knowledge of ERP and planning systems (D365, Oracle, and Epicor).
  • Strong communication skills in English and Spanish; able to interact in a global environment.
  • Deep Understanding of supply chain principles, forecasting techniques, and inventory optimization.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage large datasets and tight deadlines.
  • Proven experience leading or designing global demand planning and SIOP processes across multiple regions.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive alignment across Sales, Supply Chain, Finance, and Operations.
  • Experience standardizing and scaling planning processes, tools, and governance models globally.


Preferred Attributes

  • Experience working in a global or regional supply chain role.
  • Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, or process improvement methodologies.
  • MBA preferred
