Job Summary
Under close supervision, help PCB Handler and Assistant with PCB waste items at the PCB Long Term storage facility in compliance with state and federal environmental regulations. This involves inventory management and processing of waste that is brought in and stored on-site. Facilities that generate PCB waste (50 ppm PCB) may include service centers' supply chain, substation/transmission, and distribution activities from within the AEP Texas service territory. Other waste material from the field may also be shipped. Also help coordination efforts of contract labor employees to perform a variety of work including (but not limited to): process junk transformers, sampling of oil from electrical equipment, loading and unloading of trucks, manifesting and documenting all transactions related to electrical equipment and waste material.Job Description
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Helps coordinate receipt of waste from other system facilities.
Maintain supplies/Material/Equipment associated with facility management.
Helps with overseeing emergency response actions to control adverse environmental and public impact.
Helps coordinate facility waste disposal to minimize costs and maintain compliance.
Helps in the response to handle hazardous waste or oil spills in a timely manner.
Communicate accurately and in a timely manner, information/facts/risks regarding environmental issues to employees and customers.
Assists in the process of junk transformers and all oil filled electrical equipment for proper disposal and salvages sales.
Helps maintain environmental records, training records, spill reports, inspection reports, etc.
Helps with the operation of the oil reclaiming system for the equipment repair facility's own use.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Education: High School degree or GED.
Experience: None expected for this level of progression.
Required License(s)/Certification(s): Must possess and maintain a valid state driver's license.

1. Must demonstrate the ability and desire to acquire the necessary knowledge and skills to perform the duties and/or responsibilities of the key job (PCB Handler) in this family or vacate the current job classification.

$30.14-31.82 USDThe Physical Demand Level for this job is: M – Medium Work: Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Physical demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work.
