Meet your future team

You will join the Human Capital team at PwC Luxembourg, working closely with colleagues responsible for payroll, HR administration, and employee lifecycle processes. The team collaborates daily with internal stakeholders to ensure accurate, compliant, and timely payroll services across the firm.

What your role will look like

As a Payroll Specialist, you play an essential role in ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time, while supporting compliance with Luxembourg payroll, tax, and social security requirements. Your work directly impacts employee experience and the firm’s operational reliability.

  • Ensure accurate preparation, execution, and validation of monthly payroll, including salaries, bonuses, and benefits in kind

  • Manage payroll-related administration across the employee lifecycle, from onboarding to departures

  • Handle interactions with external institutions (e.g. CCSS, tax authorities) and support payroll-related audits or controls

  • Respond to employee questions on pay, benefits, and payroll processes with clarity and discretion

  • Maintain accurate payroll data in HR systems and contribute to continuous process improvements

  • Support internal reporting and documentation linked to payroll activities

Your growth and opportunities

You will build strong technical foundations in Luxembourg payroll within a structured and supportive team. Over time, you will gain autonomy on payroll cycles, broaden your exposure to complex cases, and deepen your understanding of HR and employment-related processes.

The skills you bring

  • Higher education background with at least two years of completed studies

  • 1–2 years of professional experience in payroll or HR administration, ideally in Luxembourg

  • Solid knowledge of payroll principles, social security, and employment-related regulations

  • Proficient use of Excel and the MS Office suite; experience with Workday or Apsal is an advantage

  • Language skills: French: fluent (C1) and English: good working knowledge (B2)

Ways of working

  • Collaborate reliably with colleagues and contribute positively to shared team objectives

  • Apply structured thinking to routine payroll issues and follow established processes with care

  • Show curiosity and willingness to learn, actively developing payroll and HR-related knowledge

  • You act with integrity, handle confidential information with care, and uphold high ethical standards in every situation
