Payroll Specialist

You will be part of a collaborative payroll team serving GSK colleagues in Poland and across our wider region. You will execute accurate, timely payroll and support payroll-related queries. You will work with internal HR, finance and external providers to ensure compliance with local law and global standards.

Responsibilities:
This role will provide YOU the opportunity to lead key activities to progress YOUR career. These responsibilities include some of the following:

- Process end-to-end payroll for employees and contractors, ensuring timely and accurate payments.
- Prepare monthly payroll close tasks, reconciliations and standard payroll reports.
- Maintain payroll records and support statutory reporting and year-end processes.
- Respond to payroll queries from employees, managers and internal partners with clear and timely communication.
- Work with external payroll providers, auditors and internal teams to ensure compliance with Polish labor, tax and social security rules.
- Identify process improvements, support changes in payroll configuration and contribute to payroll projects.

Basic Qualifications & skills:
We are seeking professionals with the following required skills and qualifications to help us achieve our goals:


- Minimum 2 years of payroll experience in Poland or strong knowledge of Polish payroll rules.
- Practical knowledge of Polish labor law, income tax and social security contributions.
- Strong Excel skills and comfort preparing reconciliations and reports.
- Fluent in Polish, with good written and spoken English skills
- High level of accuracy, confidentiality and ability to meet strict deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications & skills:
If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:


- Experience with payroll systems such as SAP HR, Płatnik or similar payroll software.
- Knowledge of Workday or other global HR systems.
- Experience with year-end statutory filings and interactions with ZUS and tax authorities.
- Strong customer service orientation and ability to explain payroll concepts simply.
- Prior experience in a centralized or international payroll environment.
- A proactive mindset and experience contributing to process automation or controls.

This role is offered as a hybrid position with a mix of on-site and remote working. You will be expected to attend the office typically two days per week.

The annual base salary in Poland for new hires in this position ranges from PLN 104,250 to PLN 173,750 gross, taking into account a number of factors including the candidate’s skills, experience, education level and the market rate for the role. Depending on the role and internal policies, the position may also be eligible for a bonus (if applicable and based on defined, non-discretionary criteria) and/or awards for exceptional performance (granted at the employer’s discretion). All statutory benefits will be maintained in accordance with Polish law. Other benefits may also be offered, which may include private healthcare, additional paid days off, life insurance, private pension plan and fully paid parental leave & care of family member leave. More detailed information on the total reward package applicable to your role will be supplied during the recruitment process.
