SCOPE/CONTACTS: Incumbent has regular contact with employees.  Contact is mostly by telephone and some face-to-face.  Work is subject to review.  Physical effort requires long periods of sitting working on a computer.  Incumbent does not lead or guide other employees.  Incumbent must have professional demeanor and excellent customer service skills.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Reconciliation and balancing of bank vendor invoices and statements to Bank payroll records and employee payroll deductions.
  • Assists with open enrollments, scanning documents to employee folders in Synergy and answering employee questions. 
  • Duties include benefit reconciliations/end of the month reporting, and special projects.
  • Reconcile payroll prior to transmission and validate confirmed reports.
  • Develop ad hoc financial and operational reporting as needed.
  • Process accurate and timely year-end reporting when necessary (W-2, W-2c, etc.).
  • Additional duties may include supporting other payroll related job functions, such as processing payroll semi-monthly, and other duties as assigned.
  • Actively participate Customer Service First program and culture and support the values of the organization and follow established Bank policies and procedures.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Human Resources, accounting or related field required.
  • A minimum of three years of payroll or reconciliation experience is required.
  • Incumbent must be highly proficient in Windows applications –Excel, Access, and Word.
  • Important to this position are accuracy, attention to detail, numerical aptitude, integrity, confidentiality, reliability, flexibility and excellent attendance. 
  • Incumbent must demonstrate excellent number aptitude, initiative, and ability to work under pressure and multi task.
  • Communication skills, organization skills and professional demeanor are a must.
