Responsibilities

  • Ensures timely processing of multi-state semi-monthly payrolls in accordance with labor regulations and standard accounting principles via Dayforce payroll system.
  • Execute time and attendance processing and interface with payroll.
  • Processes wage garnishments, pay levies and other involuntary court-ordered payments in a timely manner, including reporting to the necessary State office or jurisdiction and Manual Payments.
  • Assists employees and staff with general questions related to payroll, leave accruals, wage deductions, fringe benefits and other pay related issues.
  • Works with Benefits to coordinate leaves of absence, Medical or other unpaid leaves
  • Conduct regular audits on payroll procedures and records
  • Handle unemployment claims and verifications forms as needed.
  • Monitor, audit, adjust and reconcile payroll data.
  • Ensure deliverables are completed within deadlines or workaround is in place.
  • Keep stakeholders informed of relevant progress or challenges, highlighting risks proactively to relevant stakeholders.
  • Gain the understanding of the end-to-end process and particularities, supporting tools and technologies, requirements for performing the processes.
  • Stay up to date on state and federal payroll and tax laws
  • Report and analyze KPIs and SLAs, root cause analysis of issues. Monitor and implement SLAs.

Requirements:

  • 6 years’ relevant working experience in a BPO/SSC, preferably in process transitions (payroll, HR admin), with payroll experience (specifically processing and running payroll)
  • International Payroll, specifically US.
  • Previous SME experience in HR processes, preferably Payroll and HR Operations (eg. Hiring, on-boarding, terminations, position changes).
  • Demonstrate high attention to detail with the ability to multi-task
  • The ability to work under tight deadlines and strong sense of urgency in meeting customer needs
  • Very strong personal communication skills – must be outgoing and have the ability to work well with all levels within the organization
  • Dealing well with ambiguity, adaptability, problem solving.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Working knowledge of Workday HCM and Time Tracking, Dayforce payroll system preferably
  • Working on the US/New York time zone will only be required occasionally during the transition; after go‑live, Romania working hours will apply.
