We are looking for an Deputy Manager to join our Workforce - Payroll & HR Administration team in Bucharest. We need someone with significant professional experience, a proven track record, and most importantly, the vision to turn payroll knowledge into smarter, AI-driven solutions while actively growing client relationships locally and across the region.
What We Are Looking For:
Payroll & Technical Expertise
- Significant hands-on experience in payroll processing, with a proven track record of managing complex, end-to-end payroll operations and HR administration workflows for diverse client portfolios.
- In-depth knowledge of Romanian labour legislation, tax regulations, and fiscal treatment of salary-related components.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and ability to work across multiple payroll platforms, with adaptability to transition between different payroll solutions is essential.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate complex payroll scenarios, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery.
Technology & AI
- Ability to leverage payroll expertise to identify where AI and automation add real value, transforming manual tasks into intelligent, technology-driven workflows.
- Genuine curiosity for AI tools and digital solutions, with the vision to translate payroll knowledge into automated rules, smart validations, and AI-assisted decision-making.
- Drive to champion digitalization and collaborate with technology teams to design and implement AI-powered tools, embedding new rules and legislative changes into automated systems.
Client Development & Growth
- A growth-oriented mindset with the ability to identify and pursue new business and consulting opportunities, proactively proposing additional services and innovative solutions that address client needs.
- Proven ability to build, manage, and nurture long-term client relationships, acting as the primary point of contact and trusted advisor on payroll, labour law, and HR administration matters.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with regional PwC teams and contribute to business development efforts, including proposals, RFPs, and client presentations at local and regional level, supporting cross-border engagements and the development of the regional payroll network.
