Payroll Associate

The Payroll Associate is responsible for the timely and accurate processing of payroll for a large company. In addition, the associate is responsible for processing payroll changes such as new hires, terminations, rate changes, promotions, demotions, transfers, direct deposit, time calculation, time entry, garnishments, preparation of manual checks, filing and mail processing. The Payroll Associate will provide timely customer service to the store and its associates. Special projects may be assigned as needed.

Major Activities

  • Data entry into Oracle HR.
  • Phone calls (PTO, W2, research, general questions, etc.).
  • Audits.
  • Manual Checks.
  • Filing/Mail processing.
  • Garnishment processing.
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Special Certifications or technical skills

  • Knowledge of ADP Pay Specialist, ProBusiness, Oracle HR, Microsoft Excel and Word, Time and Attendance systems

Minimum Type of experience the job requires

  • 1-3 years prior payroll experience

Preferred Education

  • Some college preferred (Business / Accounting)

Preferred Special Certifications or technical skills

  • FPC or CPP helpful

Preferred Type of experience the job requires

  • Garnishment experience and Canada payroll processing experience a plus
