Summary:
Manages the daily operations for the account receivable bank lockbox to ensure alignment with departmental and organizational objectives. Manages daily bank deposit reconciliation processes. Works with Information Technology (IT) and payers to resolve electronic remittance discrepancies.Responsibilities:
Oversees recruitment and payroll for the department.Manages user access for the SPOT system for CMS.Reports to IT missing or defective electronic remittances for resolution.Recruits, coaches, and mentors team members. Delivers monthly scorecards, quarterly one-on-one, and yearly performance evaluations. Facilitates staff development programs.Updates and revises the Knowledge Database to ensure accurate and updated information is available to the department.Reconciles and processes cash batches as completed. Works with Director at month end to report unposted batches to assist in the month end bank lockbox reconciliation.Assists with developing specific departmental goals, standards, and objectives which directly support the strategic plan and vision of the organization.Assigns daily work assignments to the cash posting team. Monitors clearing accounts and employees' productivity daily. Ensures work is completed accurately and within departmental goals and expectations.Supports special projects and business analysis as requested.Works with payers and appropriate team members in IT, Managed Care contracting and Accounts Receivables to resolve unidentified payments and takebacks.Competencies:

Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. Required Work Experience: Three (3) years’ experience in a healthcare system with supervisory hospital experience.
