Who you are

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Payment Dispute Specialist to handle transaction disputes, chargebacks, and payment reconciliations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for investigating payment discrepancies, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders, and ensuring timely resolution in line with company policies and regulatory requirements.

What you'll do

  • Manage end-to-end payment dispute and chargeback processes
  • Investigate transaction discrepancies and analyze supporting documentation
  • Liaise with banks, payment gateways, merchants, and internal teams to resolve disputes efficiently
  • Monitor dispute trends and identify root causes to minimize future occurrences
  • Maintain accurate records of dispute cases and ensure compliance with SLAs
  • Prepare periodic reports on dispute volumes, outcomes, and recovery metrics
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory and compliance standards related to payment processing
  • Support continuous process improvements to enhance dispute resolution efficiency

What we're looking for

  • 2+ years of experience in payment operations, dispute management, chargebacks, or transaction processing
  • Strong understanding of payment gateways, card networks (Visa, Mastercard, etc.), and reconciliation processes
  • Experience in identifying repetitive manual tasks and using AI tools to streamline processes
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to manage multiple cases and meet deadlines
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and reporting tools
  • Flexibility to work in rotational shifts

While not required, these are a plus:

  • Experience working in fintech, banking, or payment services
  • Familiarity with dispute management platforms or CRM systems
  • Experience with using automation scripts to streamline manual processes
