We are looking for an experienced and patient‑focused Patient Services Officer (Medical Administration) to join our Radiation Oncology Centre located within Hollywood Hospital, Perth—one of Western Australia’s leading private hospitals.
This is a frontline medical administration role where you will support patients, clinicians and the broader multidisciplinary team by delivering accurate, efficient and compassionate administrative services.
You will play a key role in supporting a coordinated and seamless oncology patient journey, working closely with clinical teams to ensure accurate administration and hospital compliance.
This is a permanent full‑time position, working Monday to Friday, within a supportive and professional hospital setting that values teamwork, accountability and excellence in patient care.

More specifically, you will:
Provide high-quality administrative support within a radiation oncology clinic, always ensuring best-practice patient service.
Act as the first point of contact for patients and carers within the department, delivering a calm, respectful and professional experience.
Manage patient bookings, confirmations and clinic schedules in alignment with clinical workflows.
Perform accurate billing and receipting at the time of appointment, including Medicare, private health funds and self-funded patients.
Process referrals, correspondence and documentation with a high level of accuracy and confidentiality.
Maintain and manage patient records in accordance with privacy requirements.
Support the efficient day-to-day operation of the clinic, adapting to changing priorities in a fast-paced hospital environment.
Liaise effectively with clinicians, nursing staff, allied health and external providers to ensure continuity of care.
We’re looking for someone who has:
Proven experience in hospital or medical administration, ideally in a specialist or healthcare setting.
A strong understanding of patient flow, appointment scheduling and hospital administrative processes.
Knowledge of patient billing, Medicare benefits and private health fund requirements (highly desirable).
Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with patients, families and clinical teams.
High attention to detail, particularly in data entry, billing and patient documentation.
Confidence managing a high volume of patient enquiries in person and over the phone.
The ability to work autonomously while contributing positively to a multidisciplinary team.
A flexible, resilient and adaptable approach to working in a busy clinical environment.
