The Ohio State University College of Dentistry seeks a Patient Revenue Cycle Senior Coordinator to join its General Practice Residency (GPR) unit in the Primary Care Division. The GPR provides excellent, comprehensive treatment offers general dentistry at the postdoctoral level including hospital -based dentistry, as well as treatment of medically compromised and special needs patients. The GPR faculty members are leaders in their profession, and you will work with respected clinicians and educators as well as our GPR residents to provide the best care to our patients.
The Ohio State University College of Dentistry is the fourth largest public dental school in the United States and it is the only public dental school in Ohio. The college is divided into ten divisions with all major ADA-recognized dental specialties represented. The College has approximately 600 students in its undergraduate and graduate programs.


Responsible for checking in patients, coordinating/gathering all documentation related to the patient chart, scheduling appointments with patients, receiving incoming patient calls, assisting with check-in and check-out of patients and dental chart and medical consultation management. Provides a variety of clerical support services and in collaboration with other members of the patient-focused care team. Overall responsibilities include patient scheduling, patient reception, verifying forms for accuracy and completeness, coordinating with care team, and disseminating information to the care team.


Monday – Friday, 7:30 am – 4:30 pm

Hiring Range: $18.37 - $23.99
This position requires successful completion of a criminal background check and drug and alcohol screening.


Candidate must be able to retrieve and file records, push and pull carts containing patient records or office supplies, bend/stretch/twist to pick up files or retrieve records or supplies, stands and walks for periods of time serving customers. The ability to sit and stand for a duration of time is also necessary.

Required Qualifications:

High School diploma or GED plus 2 years’ experience in customer service.

Desired Qualifications:

Associate degree plus 4-6 years’ experience; within a dental or medical practice; Knowledge of dental terminology and dental practices and procedures is strongly desired;
