Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Patient Pricing Estimator to join our team. This role is responsible for completing patient pricing estimates in accordance with the No Surprise Act and responding to self-pay or insured estimate requests from patients. The Estimator will work closely with various departments across the organization to ensure accurate and timely estimates are provided.

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create patient pricing estimates.
  • Review estimates upon request from patients and/or departments.
  • Explain insurance benefits and eligibility to patients.
  • Contact appropriate internal/external resources to complete estimates or address estimate concerns.
  • Refer/escalate issues to the manager as necessary.
  • Provide feedback and education regarding pricing estimates.
  • Audit completed estimates to ensure accuracy and provide relevant feedback.
  • Review accounts with credit balances, determine the reasons for the credit balance, and resolve the issue.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Strong understanding of the No Surprise Act.
  • Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients and internal departments.
  • Proficiency in explaining insurance benefits and eligibility.
  • Ability to audit and ensure the accuracy of pricing estimates.
  • Experience in resolving credit balances on patient accounts.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Proficient in relevant software and systems used in patient pricing and estimates.
