Job Description:

The primary focus of this position will be to make a positive impression by greeting and welcoming patients, families, visitors, and vendors, assessing, and facilitating their needs.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Exercises diplomacy and tact in lobby setting to provide excellent patient experience.
  • Practices confidentiality and privacy protocols in accordance with policies and HIPAA requirements. Protects   patients' rights by maintaining confidentiality of patient accounts.
  • Maintains operations by following policies and procedures, reporting needed changes.
  • Contributes to team effort with all building entities to ensure an excellent patient experience by accomplishing assigned tasks and responsibilities.
  • Provides support to assist in executing patient programs or other necessary functions to support the patient experience by managing assigned areas.
  • Exercises problem-solving and conflict resolution skills when handling patient complaints; refers patient complaints to appropriate designated personnel as needed.
  • Proactively keeps the patient areas tidy and welcoming to patients and visitors.
  • Accesses Tennessee Oncology systems to review patient information to help direct them to the correct areas.
  • Provides information regarding parking and local resources to support patients.
  • Responds quickly and appropriately to emergency situations such as fire alarms or visitor health issues.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

• High School Diploma or GED required; College degree preferred

• 1-2 years of customer service experience

  • Current TO approved BLS provider card required within 3 months of hire.

PHYSICIAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Occasional flex shift schedule based on operational needs

o Multiple shifts cover operational hours from 6:30am-5:00pm

• Physical activity including walking, standing, sitting, and lifting.

• Must have the ability to work at fast-paced office with multiple things happening at the same time
