Position: Patient Care Technician Unit Secretary - NICU - Days
Location: Naperville, IL
Per Diem
Hours: Days 7 am to 7:30 pm ; rotating weekends & rotating holidays
Per Diem Commitment Level 1: Four to five 12 hour shifts scheduled within 6 weeks
Required Travel: Yes, floats to other women and children's units as a sitter
What you will do:
Under supervision of a Registered Nurse and according to established procedures, performs patient care tasks and patient care procedures necessary to provide for care, comfort and safety of patient. The Patient Care Tech/Unit Secretary position in the NICU also performs tasks related to receiving, preparing and delivering infant feedings under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or Registered Dietitian and according to established procedures.
What you will need:
Education: High School Diploma or GED required
Certification: Current BLS CPR certification issued by the American Heart Association & Certificate from an accredited nursing assistant training course (CNA); or minimum six months previous patient care experience or equivalent; or completion of one nursing clinical rotation
Attends patient care skills tasks related to preparing and delivering infant feedings
Strong math skills for preparing and delivering infant feedings
Excellent interpersonal skills including teamwork, ability to prioritize, ability to receive and follow through on directions
Proficient communication skills
Attend in depth orientation regarding patient care skills tasks
NICU Specific: Current Food Handler Course Certificate of Completion
