Department: 6 East Cardiac Intensive Care Unit/Progressive Care Unit

Location: Trinity Health Ann Arbor

Minimum rate of pay: 16.00 PLUS Daily PAY

Position Purpose:

The PCA, under the direction of a registered nurse, is responsible for direct patient care considering age specific, developmental, cultural and spiritual needs. They assist in establishing and maintaining a patient care environment that is clean, safe and conducive to patient/family wellbeing including concepts of relationship-based care.

Shifts Available: 2:30pm-11:00pm

Status Available: Part-time

Every Other Weekend and Holiday per year required for Full-time and Part-time team members.

REQUIRED EDUCATION / LICENSURE

• High school diploma or GED
• Recent experience desired

What you will do:

• Training is provided to prepare our colleagues for success.
• The PCA assists patient in completing ADLs including: Bathing, showering, toileting, positioning, turning, transferring, ambulation using assistive devices and with feeding and menu selection.
• Critically ill patients recovering from acute MI, Cardiogenic shock, CHF, cardiac arrest, and various percutaneous interventions; Cardiac patients suffering from Heart attack, heart failure, arrythmias, and various percutaneous interventions, in a progressive care setting.
