Pay Range
$22.90 - $34.35EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Experience working in a high volume, fast-paced environment. Experience answering phones and utilizing electronic messaging.
Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification Required:
Must have a CMA or RMA by one of the following National Organizations REQUIRED:
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 1. Reviews medical records and coordinate health care services and referrals for assigned patients. 2. Completes forms and provides medical documentation to support services. 3. Ensures coordination of patient care and flow of information by delivering clear and concise messages to appropriate party, appropriately documenting information, and effectively communicating with ambulatory clinical departments. 4. Utilizes computer programs and follows established guidelines to schedule, update, and cancel appointments. 5. Follows departmental policies and procedures to assure completeness and accuracy of registration data. Ensures accurate billing and statistical information and maintains accurate authorization records. 6. Coordinates with co-workers to accomplish departmental work assignments. 7. Contributes to success of department by assisting with development and implementation of methods to improve customer service and recognizing problems and determining possible solutions. Serves as a courteous and cooperative liaison between patients, medical staff, and outside agencies. Anticipates workflow and prepares accordingly. 8. Performs other related duties as assigned.
