About the role
Own data accuracy – maintain and update patient information in the hospitals Patient Administration Systems including CorePAS, medical record systems (SMR) and MediWeb, with precision and integrity
Be the go-to problem solver – handle calls, enquiries and requests from internal/external stakeholders in line with NSW Health policies
Manage critical records – investigate and merge MRNs, and ensure patient data is correct across all systems
Keep systems running smoothly – perform audits, resolve discrepancies with wards, monitor system issues and support continuous improvements
Support the wider team – assist with reporting, staff training, record retrieval, and contribute to a collaborative, high-performing department
About you
Strong communicator with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively across multidisciplinary healthcare teams
Experienced in hospital or Health Information Services environments, with solid understanding of Patient Administration Systems (PAS)
Proactive and solution-focused, able to work independently or in a team, using initiative to resolve issues and complaints
Highly organised with strong attention to detail, able to prioritise workload, work under pressure, and meet tight deadlines
Skilled in Microsoft Word and Excel, with a strong understanding of privacy, confidentiality, and handling sensitive patient information
