As a Parts Supervisor, you’ll oversee a team of parts technicians supporting branches and customers within the Expanded Mining Parts group. You’ll drive performance improvements, manage inventory strategies, and foster strong stakeholder relationships.

Job Description:
- Provide clear leadership and direction to the Expanded Mining Parts team, fostering a positive, engaged, and performance-driven culture.
- Artemis, Red Chris Mine, Conuma, Willow Creek, Ekati, Goose Bay.
- Drive collaboration between Caterpillar, Finning business units, and supply chain partners to achieve measurable results aligned with the EMP strategy.
- Coach and mentor parts staff, promoting accountability and ownership while developing succession plans and growth opportunities.
- Set clear goals and expectations for team members, monitor performance, and provide timely feedback through formal and informal conversations.
- Conduct Employee Opinion Surveys and implement action plans to improve engagement and team effectiveness.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with Caterpillar stakeholders, vendors, and branches to ensure alignment on parts supply chain objectives.
- Manage supplier performance across cost, quality, and service dimensions, focusing on inventory optimization for Expanded Mining Parts.
- Oversee high-volume and critical parts availability, reducing expediting costs and downtime through proactive planning and process improvements.
- Assess and recommend tools, technologies, and solutions to enhance EMP parts processes and operational efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, company policies, and operational procedures while driving continuous improvement initiatives.
Day-to-Day Activities:
- Monitor parts inventory levels and fill rates to meet customer requirements.
- Conduct regular team meetings to review KPIs and operational priorities.
- Address performance gaps and implement corrective actions promptly.
- Collaborate with branches and customers to resolve parts-related issues and improve service delivery.
Requirements:
- Journeyman Parts Ticket required. Red Seal is an asset.
- Minimum 2+ years of supervisory experience.
- 5+ years in warehouse or parts roles, preferably in the mining sector.
- Strong leadership, coaching, and mentoring skills.
- Excellent planning, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
- Proven financial acumen and ability to manage budgets and cost controls.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Familiarity with Lawson M3 and parts network systems is an asset.
- Understanding of labor relations, grievance resolution, and performance management processes.
- Ability to travel to customer sites (25 – 40% of the time).

- Monday – Friday, 5x2 schedule.
