Job Title: Parts Repair Technician
Location: Montreal, Quebec
Job Summary
Reporting to the National Inventory Manager, the Parts Repair Technician is responsible to troubleshoot, diagnose and repair ATM parts and equipment to support the organization nationally. Working out of our Montreal warehouse, this individual will ensure that any defective ATM parts and equipment are repaired to provide a quick turnaround to our customers.
From time to time, this individual will complete other duties as assigned by management, to assist with special projects.
Major Responsibilities
ATM Equipment and Parts Repair – 77.5%
Perform day-to-day repairs and maintenance on terminals, follow de-install procedures for site closures or damages; Troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing ATM equipment and parts; and verifying which parts are salvageable, as necessary.
Assist to ensure Montreal warehouse is organized at all times; maintaining cleanliness of warehouse by ensuring all items are stored away neatly and all surfaces and floors are swept, dusted, etc.
Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition; reporting when any tools or equipment are defective and arranging to receive new tools or equipment with direct Manager.
Record Keeping – 10%
Maintain accurate detailed records of repairs / estimates; documenting as necessary for other internal stakeholders to review; and ensuring all inventory is continuously up-to-date.
ATM Maintenance – 10%
Stage new and used ATM terminals and ensure functionality and cleanliness at company warehouse; programming with correct parameters, entering encryption keys, connecting and testing functionality, cleaning, and applying company branded stickers.
Clean ATM terminals returned by Service Technicians from de-installs for future deployment at warehouse; performing: card reader cleaning, dispenser/cassette inspection and cleaning, exterior machine cleaning, as required.
Self-Development – 2.5%
Attend and participate in team meetings, providing feedback in relation to areas they handle as part of their role.
Review performance with manager, with the intent to enhance productivity, capacity and capability.
Education and Training
High School Diploma
Experience, Technical Skills, and Key Competencies
1 to 2 years’ prior experience in a technical service role.
Bilingual in English and French, both verbal and written, an asset.
Astute office skills, including: computer usage, data entry, and word processing.
Demonstrate a professional manner in communicating with colleagues.
Ability to work effectively individually and as part of a team environment.
Self-starter, who pays attention to detail and stays organized.
Strong problem-solving skills, using independent judgment to resolve unusual work problems.
Sound reading and writing ability.
Ability to consistently lift 50 pounds and work on their feet throughout the day.
