Why This Role Matters:

The Partnership & Events Activation Manager position is an exciting and fast-paced opportunity assisting in the planning, execution, and delivery of several high-profile company sponsorship events and activations. In this role you will manage Group 1001’s NASCAR racing events, as well as touch our additional sports partnership, employee engagement, and Corporate Social Responsibility activities that support communities throughout the country (i.e. Gainbridge Fieldhouse events, F1 Miami, Indy 500, Cal RipkenSr. Foundation, Miami Dolphins, Indianapolis Colts).

We are seeking strong project management expertise and capability to work in a highly fluid environment. This position is responsible for delivering exceptional client experience for the company's important partnerships and will work closely with C-suite leaders.

Reporting to the Director of Guest Experience, the ideal candidate will build strong relationships with our team and partners, pivoting from account management and rights delivery to ensuring partners strategically maximize the use of Sponsorship assets to drive brand and business objectives.  This is a unique opportunity to lead partner engagement, event planning, activation, and on-site logistics.

Position will be based in company headquarters in Zionsville, IN. No exceptions.

How You'll Contribute:

  • Leads project management of company NASCAR events and works collaboratively with external and internal partners, including communications, sales, and marketing.
  • Executes on company events through collaboration on communications needs, including social media content.
  • Delivers an exceptional guest experience for clients at sponsorship events.
  • On-site activation events expert. Represents the company in a manner that is professional and positively promotes the brand.
  • Manages logistical needs required for sponsorship event deliverables. Works directly with suppliers, facilities, hotels, catering vendors, credentials, equipment, and all other resources needed.
  • Maintains project management tool for tracking all partnership initiatives in collaboration with marketing and communications teams.
  • Serve as primary liaison, building strong relationships and delivering strategic and tactical guidance to maximize sponsorship value
  • Develop and execute integrated activations across digital, social, broadcast, and trackside platforms, increasing brand visibility and engagement
  • Position requires significant travel – (i.e. 50% or more)

What We’re Looking For:

  • 5-7+ years of events, marketing, or other relevant experience. Ground level NASCAR/motorsports activation from the brand or team side a plus.
  • Strong verbal communication skills including ability to interact professionally with a wide range of C-suite executives, corporate partners, and guests.
  • Ability to think strategically and be solution oriented.
  • Exceptional skill in building strong relationships while using tact and professionalism in all internal and external interactions.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidential information.
  • Highly organized to meet multiple concurrent deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Frequent travel within the U.S. and opportunity for occasional international travel.
  • This position often requires attention outside of 'normal business hours, while also respecting a work and life balance for yourself and teammates.
  • Ability to carry out responsibilities with minimal direction.
  • Maintain knowledge of the broader sponsorship landscape, trends, and activation tactics.
  • Self-starter and highly motivated to succeed.
