This role is responsible for developing and managing strategic partner relationships, including banks and key accounts, to drive merchant acquisition, revenue growth, and profitability. The position focuses on identifying new business opportunities, onboarding and supporting partners, leading commercial negotiations, and delivering tailored solutions that enhance the customer experience. The role works closely with cross‑functional teams to ensure successful execution, timely reporting, and high service quality. Additionally, the role monitors partner performance, margins, and market trends, and defines a clear sales strategy and roadmap to support sustainable growth.
Manage and maintain relationships with banks and key accounts, maximizing merchant signing
Identify new opportunities and prospect new potential partners
Onboard new partners and provide ongoing support throughout the collaboration
Assess prospective customer needs to enhance the customer experience and grow revenue
Develop tailored business proposals, lead negotiations, and manage contract signings
Ensure proper and timely reporting to management and internal departments
Stay informed about market trends, competitor activity, and pricing policy; provide recommendations
Deliver demo presentations to familiarize clients and partners with new features
Regularly analyze partner performance and revenue metrics, identify deviations and initiate corrective actions
Collaborate closely with internal teams (sales, product, operations, finance) to ensure the best customer experience
Define a sales strategy and roadmap for your partner area
Monitor profitability, expenditures, and margins within your department and partner relationships
Analyze, monitor, and supervise margins of individual products and services
Minimum Qualifications
Thorough understanding of the card payments industry, including players, services, technology, economics, regulations, and trends; familiarity with card transaction processing (online and offline)
Independent decision-making and strong priority management skills, clear leadership abilities
Independent, proactive work style with strong time management skills and ability to manage parallel projects
Ability to interact with customers, suppliers, technical teams, and sales teams; proficient negotiation skills
Client-oriented approach and excellent presentation skills
P&L understanding and a focus on managing for high margins
Strong analytical thinking and technical abilities
Positive, flexible attitude and solution-oriented mindset
Fluent Hungarian and English, both written and spoken
Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Valid category B driving license and willingness to travel
Preferred Qualifications
Experience managing ISV partnerships or technology channel partners
An established network in retail, hospitality, e-commerce, or related sectors
Experience with CRM systems
Knowledge of an additional foreign language
