JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Pediatric Expert Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE-P)

Are you an International Association of Forensic Nurses (IAFN) certified Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner in Pediatrics (SANE-P)? Do you enjoy mentoring others? If so, the Sexual Assault Forensic Examination-Telehealth (SAFE-T) Center at The Pennsylvania State University needs you! The SAFE-T Center is growing their elite team of highly trained forensic nurses (TeleSANEs) to include SANEs who specialize in the pediatric population.

The SAFE-T Center TeleSANE team is comprised of experienced, IAFN-certified Sexual Assault Nurse Examiners who have dedicated their careers to advancing the field of forensic nursing. These TeleSANEs are making a difference for victims of crime by providing real-time mentorship and live quality assurance to lesser-experienced SANEs in rural and underserved communities.  This team continually strives to provide excellence in telehealth through rigorous, quality assurance and training activities. There is an intense commitment in the advancement of the SAFE-T Center’s mission to enhance care for victims of sexual assault in underserved communities as well as a desire to nurture the growth of future SANEs.

As a SAFE-T Center TeleSANE, you will be paid to take call and conduct telehealth consultations securely from your home through special equipment provided to you by the SAFE-T Center.
