JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS

The Bellisario College of Communications is looking for energetic and bright students to serve as tour guides for the Bellisario Media Center. Tour Guides will meet and interact with prospective students and their families, provide tours of the media center, and serve as ambassadors to the Bellisario College. Students must currently be seeking a degree within the Bellisario College and possess a great attitude and strong verbal communications skills. Applicants should be responsible, self-motivated, and excited to share their Penn State experience. Tour Guides will provide group tours as part of summer recruitment events. No experience necessary, training will be provided. 

 

It is preferred that applicants be available to work all shifts listed below but we will be flexible if necessary. Additional shifts will be available throughout the summer. Paid training time is also required.  

 

Shifts for the following dates are 11:30 AM- 4:00 PM

Monday, July 20
Tuesday, July 21
Thursday, July 23
Friday, July 24
Monday, July 27

 

BACKGROUND CHECKS/CLEARANCES

This position requires the following clearances in addition to applicable background checks: PA State Police Criminal Background Check, PA Child Abuse History Clearance Form, and Federal (FBI) Fingerprint Criminal Background Check.

Pursuant to the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act and the Pennsylvania Act of 1988, Penn State publishes a combined Annual Security and Annual Fire Safety Report (ASR). The ASR includes crime statistics and institutional policies concerning campus security, such as those concerning alcohol and drug use, crime prevention, the reporting of crimes, sexual assault, and other matters.
