Part Time Instructor
Part-Time Instructors in the School of Social Work are needed for our online and on-campus academic programs. The Part-Time Instructor will teach assigned courses in the School's course curriculum and schedule
Job responsibilities
Teach assigned courses as specified in each School's course curriculum and schedule - 75%
Evaluate and select texts and instructional materials; prepare course materials and lesson plans; provide students an approve syllabus that includes course objectives and learning outcomes; teaching methodology, texts and readings, assignments and deliverables, and timelines and evaluation criteria - 10%
Observe and evaluate student performance in meeting course objectives and learning outcomes through assignments, projects, discussions or examinations; provide feedback in a timely manner on student programs- 5%
Maintain records of enrollments and attendance, assessments and grades, submit class rosters and grade sheets by the deadlines established by the University - 5%
Be available for student consultation by phone, email, or Zoom meetings and other duties as assigned. - 5%
Minimum Qualifications
Master's degree in Social Work or related field.
Preferred Qualifications
Ph.D in Social Work or related field.
Teaching online or regular classroom courses in undergraduate or graduate program.

Should a student appear in need of or seek assistance with issues of an emotional, behavioral, or mental health related matter they should be referred to the proper service within the Student Health Center. In situations where the student creates an impression that they are a danger to themselves or others, the advisor should immediately contact the Care Team, the Dean of Students or the appropriate law enforcement agency. The employee outside of those rights contained within FERPA should create no impression of client or patient confidentiality.
